Poems are like dandelions to me – so small but contains a lot, be it thoughts or feelings. The beauty lies when there’s not much words but there’s so much meaning. You’re open and then you still keep that secret, still keep that sense of mystery somewhere. To quote one poet named Allen Ginsberg, “it is the outlet for people to say in public what is known in private”. You can create a whole lot of a picture, let people feel something so profound with just a handful words.
Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought, and the thought has found words. – Robert Frost
Here’s my attempt on making those lines which hopefully will leave you with something – be it thoughts or feelings.
Poetry is not a turning lose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things. – T.S. Eliot
